another 'lil man flannel

another baby boy another sketchbook shirt in plaid. i just can't help myself, this pattern is such a joy to sew and looks so adorable in tiny sizes. not to mention the baby lumberjack look really resonates with my demographic of friends.

I got this beautiful plaid and super soft corduroy at britex a few weeks back.

as with my last lil' man flannel (which I made for the same baby, but was taken in our home invasion) i used some awesome wooden buttons from this etsy shop

god I love the tiny details of this pattern. from the little cuffs,

to the edge stitching on the little collar,

to the back pleat (i always cut the back yoke on the bias).

this time I also did the pocket. it was nerve wracking to add something optional to a project that was already finished without any major mistakes.

but i did match it up perfectly if I do say.

love,

aunt maggie
