one of my favorite gifts from victor came on Valentine's Day 2014 when for $19.99 he got me a rose bush from Whole Foods.
now at the time it wasn't anything to text home about, I mean a pot of dirt with a few sticks in it? but over the last three years in our garden it has really grown and continues to give me great joy:
And it is so photogenic!
the best part? Oakland is the perfect environment for roses, so doesn't require any work.
