happy holiday week everyone! i've just about finished my dropcloth sampler and want to show you. (you can check out my early progress here).
i love how the chain stitching turned out.
and the little leaves.
the algerian eye might have been my favorite technique.
it will be so fun to start adding simple flowers and branches like this to other projects.
i held out doing the filled running stitch, fearing it would be hard, but it was actually a snap and i love the mixing of colors.
finally i'm using my new skills to add a freehand border.
such a fun project, can't wait to get started on my color wheel sampler.
