liberty bloomers
i’m rarely old fashioned in my opinions, but for some reason i feel very strongly that talia needs to have on bloomers, shorts, or leggings under skirts and dresses.
to accommodate this view i made this pair of oliver + s seashore bloomers out of the liberty of london betsy blue tana cotton lawn i had left over from this dress.
i’m not sure if it’s because the blue really goes with her eyes or the fact that i just like liberty of london fabric (who doesn’t) but we’ve gotten so much use out of these all summer.
love,
aunt maggie

within an hour of finding out that talia was going to be a girl i went to my fabric stash and starting planning her first dress.
after a decade of sewing for other people’s daughters i knew sewing for my own would be fun…but i had no idea how much fun.
for halloween this year i decided the kids would go as characters from jude’s current favorite book: strega nona.
