ann arbor winter
while bay area weather is just about always beautiful and perfect my hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan has some pretty intense winters.
I like to think growing up in this climate builds character. It appears this is the case with maya and neela who are having sledding adventures.
armed with her paddington coat, owl backpack, and paisley hide-and-seek dress Maya also enjoys trips downtown.
love,
aunt maggie
when aunt maggie comes to Portland for the weekend a few things change:
- donuts and chocolate milk is a completely acceptable breakfast.
- staying up a little later on the weekend to watch an old school episode of scooby doo is fine.
- teaching your little sister the Star Wars theme counts as both of you practicing the piano.
when I was in portland this past weekend nora and etta put on their new bee mine dresses and we went for a walk around the block.

i'm up in portlandia for a few days to see my favorite kindergartner and second grader. today we had a pretty awesome walk to school.
fitz, who only recently developed the ability to get everywhere in the apartment, had been enjoying hiding amongst my patterns.
the holidays mean the girls are home from school. so cue charlie brown christmas music because here are some cute pictures of them doing fun things...
maya has developed quite the fashion sense, we're calling it 'ragamuffin chic'. (see her second birthday tunic in there?)
neela and rosie have found common ground.
meanwhile maya have continues to enjoy her dolly ergo.
for the past two months all but one of my blog posts have been about old projects. (i guess is the blog version of stash busting?)
while I still have a fair amount of posts lined up i wanted to end the month by sharing more recent pictures. some updates of things you've seen before and some previews of projects i've been working on.
